Venus is the second planet from the Sun and is often called Earth's twin because of its similar size and composition.

Despite its beauty, Venus is a hostile world with thick clouds of sulfuric acid and surface temperatures hot enough to melt lead. Its thick atmosphere traps heat in a runaway greenhouse effect.
